Meet with a Pro: Eric Deggans-St. Petersburg Times

Learning from someone beats roughing it on your own or learning from a dull textbook. Mr. Eric Deggans is well qualified as a journalist, having written articles in VIBE magazine, the Washington Post, and others. He is currently a TV/Media Critic for the St. Peterburg Times.
(You can read more of his history in your packet.)

In this technological day, You have to be a multiplatform writer in order to survive in the world of journalism. He gave many examples of what differences there are such as in magazines you have to be more engaging because it stays in people's homes longer. He also explained in writing in a magazine you are allowed to be adventerous and can spend more time recently. Newspapers are just the facts now, and usually for the community it is in.
I learned a lot from the answers to the questions he asked me and others in my group.
